Lifehacker has discovered a way to block the Gmail text ads from appearing. It seems like the advertisers do not like being associated with profanity and tragic violence. Lifehacker took advantage of this by carefully crafting an email signature that should block the ads.

I was sad to find out today the koala bear, Sam, who survived the worst bush fire ever in Australia has died. I have written about it here before.

It is sad really. She survived the fire only to fall to a disease that affects 50% of her kind. Rest in peace Sam. You have brought hope and joy to many.
